This retreat is an invitation to step out of the familiar rhythms of daily life and into a spacious container of sincere unhurried practice, rest, and inward listening.
​
For six days and five nights, we gather at the magnificent Santani Wellness in Sri Lanka - a place designed & dedicated to support deep nourishment of body, mind, and nervous system. In this natural setting we can then tend to what often gets overlooked in our everyday life; our capacity to listen, to soften, and to be with ourselves without distraction.
Alongside daily asana, meditation, and pranayama, we will explore mantra, chanting, and kirtan, with harmonium woven throughout our days as a way of listening, opening the heart, and remembering our connection to something larger than ourselves... to Self, Spirit, Divine.

I will guide the retreat drawing from years of study, dedicated self-practice and teaching in the yogic tradition, with devotion (Bhakti) at its heart — weaving movement, breath, sound, storytelling and stillness into every practice.

(500 square meters)
Your chalet is perched over the jungle and overlooks the surrounding mountain range & endless nature. Each Chalet is stand-alone, single-bedroom extending to a large balcony. Each room is simple and stylish and faces the surrounding jungle valley and the stunning mountains beyond.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS & SPA
Sri Lanka’s wellness heritage dates back more than 5,000 years. It is said that medicinal plants found here do not grow anywhere else other than in the Himalayas. These therapeutic plants form the basis for Ayurveda, a two-part Sanskrit word, ayur meaning ‘life’ and veda meaning ‘knowledge.’

Santani's team of Ayurvedic doctors will provide a free assessment and body analysis and recommend treatments for you. The discounted treatment pricing is arranged for the retreat group.
​
All other facilities including a steam room, sauna, cold bath plunges, pool, are completely free of charge and can be enjoyed daily.

Danica is a yoga teacher and lifelong student whose work is rooted in classical yoga practice and increasingly shaped by the devotional path of Bhakti. She teaches in a way that is grounded, accessible, and sincere - creating spaces where practice becomes personal, lived, and quietly transformative.

Her classes weave together asana, meditation, and pranayama with mantra, chanting, and harmonium.
Rather than performance or intensity, her emphasis is on presence, inner listening, and heart-led practice.
Ancient teachings are shared in a way that feels relevant to modern life -embodied, spacious, and human.
Her teaching is enriched not only by years of study and retreat leadership, but by life itself — as a mother, traveler, and householder - and her ability to meet students where they are. The space she holds extends beyond the mat, supporting reflection, connection, and an honest return to what matters.
Sessions are thoughtful, steady, and integrative - inviting depth without pressure and devotion without dogma.
